Dear Editor, The GA Tech study you quote from is 11 years old. Are you trying to fit a 2001 economic study to the economy of today? Wow, that is a real stretch. I would bet that a new comparison would be exactly opposite.
My theory is follow the money. Naturally a study will say what you want it to say if you are controlling the money that comes from the taxpayers. If people will read your article very carefully
